Google's NewYear Eve Logo 2011

Posted on 05:00 by Unknown
Google never ceases to amaze us with their creative and spontaneous take on festivals and occasions of importance. This time is no different with Google coming up with a brainteaser that makes you wonder what the secret code could be. This New Year, the google doodle will definitely get us thinking.

If you have taxed your grey matter considerably, we will save you the trouble and play party pooper by revealing the real deal behind the mysterious google doodle. The image consists of 'GMMXIE', an apparent code. But the image is 'googles' way of ushering in the New Year. The code is 2011 written in roman characters with a G and E at the beginning and the end, to add to the confusion. Only the middle four letters are altered with the roman characters. There are also fireworks in the background of the logo to welcome the New Year.

World's Largest Car Parking Building

Posted on 04:38 by Unknown
The Autostadt is a visitor attraction adjacent to the Volkswagen factory in Wolfsburg, Germany, with a prime focus on automobiles. It features a museum, feature pavilions for the principal automobile brands in the Volkswagen Group, a customer center where German customers can pick up new cars, and take a tour through the enormous factory, a guide to the evolution of roads, and cinema in a large sphere. It is also home to the largest glass doors in the world and the longest printed line. The line starts from outside Wolfsburg and travels through Autostadt to a point on a farm. It is about 4 miles (6.4 km) long.

Biggest attraction, of course, are the towers. There are two 60 meter/200 ft tall glass silos used as storage for new Volkswagens. The two towers are connected to the Volkswagen factory by a 700 metre underground tunnel. When cars arrive at the towers they are carried up at a speed of 1.5 metres per second. The render for the Autostadt shows 6 towers. When purchasing a car from Volkswagen (the main brand only, not the sub-brands) in select European countries, it is optional if the customer wants it delivered to the dealership where it was bought or if the customer wants to travel to Autostadt to pick it up. If the latter is chosen, the Autostadt supplies the customer with free entrance, meal tickets and a variety of events building up to the point where the customer can follow on screen as the automatic elevator picks up the selected car in one of the silos. The car is then transported out to the customer without having driven a single meter, and the odometer is thus on.

Alien Body Found on Earth

Posted on 03:15 by Unknown
These are fantastic world news worthy of headlining any newspaper around the world. This creature, was found on Thailand, its strangely shaped body leaves a lot of mastery around it . The photographer has captured with his camera a truly unique and amazing moment, and got himself a fantastic photographs that make up a great story.

As all good mysteries it happens in far away from the technology wonders of the modern society in Thailand. You can see a lot of local folks in the background of these photos that seem to worship this creature they have “found”. The end result is an even more absurd and even humorous scene. They managed to get me even more amazed by this baby powder and juices they brought as a tribute to this creature. They have even brought a fan to keep it well preserved for the scientists.

Virtual Tour of Facebook Office

Posted on 06:45 by Unknown
Facebook, Inc. is a company that operates and privately owns social networking website, Facebook. Users can add friends and send them messages, and update their personal profiles to notify friends about themselves. Additionally, users can join networks organized by city, workplace, school, and region. The website’s name stems from the colloquial name of books given at the start of the academic year by university administrations with the intention of helping students to get to know each other better.

Mark Zuckerberg founded Facebook with his college roommates and fellow computer science students Eduardo Saverin, Dustin Moskovitz and Chris Hughes while he was a student at Harvard University. The website’s membership was initially limited to Harvard students, but was expanded to other colleges in the Boston area, the Ivy League, and Stanford University. It later expanded further to include any university student, then high school students, and, finally, to anyone aged 13 and over. The website currently has more than 350 million active users worldwide.

World's Largest Diamond Mine

Posted on 05:49 by Unknown
World’s Biggest Diamond Mine is located at Mirna, Eastern Siberia, Russia. The mine is 525 meters (1,722 ft) deep and has a diameter of 1,200 m (3,900 ft).The mine is so big and giat that the airspace above the mine is closed for helicopters because of a few incidents in which they were sucked in by the downward air flow. To give an idea how big it is here is is a fine illustration.

The mine was discovered on June 13, 1955 by Soviet geologists Yuri Khabardin, Ekaterina Elagina and Viktor Avdeenko during the large Amakinsky Expedition in Yakut ASSR. They found traces of volcanic rock kimberlite which are usually associated with diamonds. This finding was the first success in the search for kimberlite in Russia, after numerous failed expeditions of the 1940s and 1950s. For this discovery, in 1957 Khabardin was given the Lenin Prize, which was one of the highest awards in the Soviet Union.

Growth of Social Network Sites

Posted on 01:02 by Unknown
Through social networking, people can use networks of online friends and group memberships to keep in touch with current friends, reconnect with old friends or create real–life friendships through similar interests or groups. Besides establishing important social relationships, social networking members can share their interests with other like–minded members by joining groups and forums. Some networking can also help members find a job or establish business contacts.

Most social networking websites also offer additional features. In addition to blogs and forums, members can express themselves by designing their profile page to reflect their personality. The most popular extra features include music and video sections. Members can read bios of their favorite music artists from the artist's profile page as well as listen to their favorite songs and watch music videos. The video section can include everything from member–generated videos from hundreds of subjects to TV clips and movie trailers.

World’s Safest Car

Posted on 20:44 by Unknown
There’s only a handful of countries known for building cars. Most of them are in Europe or the Far East. Colonel Muammar Gaddafi wants to add Libya to that list, and this is what he’s cooked up to do it. Called the Libyan Rocket, the car was designed to solve the problem of high instance of road deaths in the north African country. Gaddafi’s people say it’s the safest car ever made, but don’t go into any details to back up the claim. Still, the Colonel’s revolutionary government is building a plant in Tripoli to put it together.

World Leaders in their Young Age

Posted on 22:39 by Unknown
Once upon a time the presidents, prime ministers and chancellors were the same as you. They went to university, worked, played. After graduating from university and started their advance up the career ladder, these people have created their own style. Wearing a formal suit and tie or a skirt to the knee and court shoes, they have limited our ability to judge what they really are.

Car Chasing like GTA Game

Posted on 21:09 by Unknown
In yet another example of how life imitates art, a man in Brazil decided to do his best Grand Theft Auto impression through the streets of Brazil. Equally as entertaining as the chase footage is the news anchor’s report. Is it us or does it sound like he’s announcing a soccer match? Seriously, his enthusiasm for news reporting is so noticeable we expected him to break out the “GOAL!’ on more than one occasion.

Most Scariest bridges in the world

Posted on 01:49 by Unknown
All bridges serve a purpose, whether utilitarian or inspirational. And some of them add a distinct element of fear. But you don’t have to be in a remote part of the world: scary bridges exist everywhere, in all shapes, sizes, and heights. And crossing over them can be the ultimate in adventure travel.
Get ready to face your fears—or maybe find your next adventure—with our list of the world’s most petrifying bridges.

Aiguille du Midi Bridge, France

Don’t look down. At this height, you’ll want to keep your eyes locked on the panorama of the craggy French Alps. Fortunately, the bridge itself is short, making for an easy escape if acrophobia sets in. But those truly afraid of heights probably won’t even see the bridge; getting here requires taking a cable car that climbs 9,200 vertical feet in just 20 minutes.

Where: The summit of Aiguille du Midi in the Mont Blanc massif near Chamonix.
Stats: 12,605 feet above sea level.

Royal Gorge Bridge, Colorado
America’s highest suspension bridge may be breathtaking for some, but those scared of heights may be left gasping for air as they stare straight down nearly 90 stories at the Arkansas River below. Completed in 1929, the bridge didn’t have stabilizing wind cables until 1982.

Where: Royal Gorge, Colorado, over the Arkansas River.
Stats: 969 feet above the gorge; 1,260 feet long.

Trift Suspension Bridge, Switzerland
Trift Suspension Bridge
One of the Alps’ longest and highest pedestrian suspension bridges, Trift was built in 2004 to reconnect hikers to a hut made inaccessible by a retreating glacier. A replacement in 2009 gave this bridge higher handrails and stabilizing cables to prevent it from swinging violently in the wind. But it still provides an adrenaline rush.

Where: Trift Glacier, near the town of Gadmen in the Swiss Alps.
Stats: 328 feet high; 558 feet long.

Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, Northern Ireland

First things first: nobody has fallen off this bridge. However, many visitors who walk across simply can’t handle the return and have to go by boat. It used to be even scarier. Erected by fishermen who went to the island to catch salmon, the original bridge had only a single handrail. The rope bridge eventually became popular with tourists seeking a thrill, and the National Trust replaced it with a sturdier structure with two handrails.

Where: Near Ballintoy in County Antrim, Northern Ireland.
Stats: 65 feet long; nearly 100 feet above the rocks below.

Capilano Suspension Bridge, Canada
Originally built in 1889, this simple suspension footbridge surrounded by an evergreen forest is very high, fairly narrow, and extremely shaky—the cedar planks bounce on their steel cables as you walk across them. If the bridge doesn’t scare you, wait until the spring of 2011; the Cliffhanger attraction will allow visitors to climb across a series of suspended walkways attached to a cliff.

Where: North Vancouver, British Columbia, across the Capilano River.
Stats: 450 feet long; 230 feet high.

Puente de Ojuela, Mexico
This bridge leads to a ghost town, but it’s the squeaky wood floor that makes it scary. Fortunately, steel cables suspended from two towers bring a greater feeling of safety. Still, steel is a relatively recent addition: when German engineer Santiago Minhguin built this bridge in the 19th century, those towers were made of wood.

Where: The ghost town of Ojuela, an old mining settlement in the northern state of Durango, Mexico.
Stats: 1,043 feet long; 2 feet wide; 360 feet above a gorge.

Hussaini Hanging Bridge, Pakistan
Massive gaps between the planks, a wild side-to-side swing: there are reasons this is considered one of the world’s most harrowing suspension bridges. While rickety cable and wood bridges are common in this area, crossing this bridge over the rapidly flowing Hunza River is particularly frightening, as the tattered remains of the previous bridge hang by threads next to the one currently in use.

Where: In the village of Hussaini in Northern Pakistan, crossing the Hunza River.
Stats: Floodwaters reportedly submerged the bridge in May 2010. However, due to its draw as a popular adventure-travel activity, the bridge is likely to be rebuilt.

Here is what we think the new OS should offer -
 1. Touch Screens: We have already saw Touch Screen version of OS ie Windows 7, so it is sure that there must be a lot of improvements in it, may be like multi-touch capability and lot more.
 2. Biometrics Support: New Windows 8 would have inbuilt Biometric password login support, now who need to type a password when you have your face or eye or finger print to do your work. Having said that it automatically enhances the security feature manifolds.

Top 5 Alien Designs in Movies

Posted on 06:30 by Unknown
There’s an allure about beings from another planet. We as humans are always interested in the unknown, and since the time of our grandparents, cinema has been infatuated with this unknown as well.Whether it’s an invasion of saucers, or a disgusting drool filled creature, aliens have been a staple in movies for a long time. I’ve decided to select twenty out of this world beings that I personally think are awesome.

Michael Jackson Funeral [Second Version Photos]

Posted on 03:48 by Unknown
Michael Jackson's health has long been the subject of speculation. During his trial on charges of molestation in 2005, proceedings had to be postponed several times when he had to go to hospital. On one occasion he arrived straight from casualty in his pyjamas.
Jackson's poor health at the time was said to be related to the stress of the court appearances and hostile publicity over his relationships with young boys. But the strain of his lifestyle has always been apparent in his gaunt appearance as well as the rumours of addiction to prescription drugs. The singer died of a cardiac arrest. He had been under pressure to get fit for a gruelling run of 50 shows at London's O2 Arena beginning next month.

We will know more about the causes of his death after a postmortem examination is carried out later today. There is speculation that his use of painkillers may have caused his death and there are unconfimed reports suggesting he may have collapsed after an injection of Demerol, a powerful painkiller similar to morphine that can in certain circumstances increase the risk of cardiac arrest.

A cardiac arrest is when the heart suddenly stops beating. It occurs without warning, sometimes with no apparent reason, and is not the same as a heart attack. It can be caused by a heart attack – usually precipitated by heart disease – but also by anything from drowning to an overdose of drugs or electrocution. All of these can disturb the heart rhythm, causing it to overwork and then stop. Serious damage takes place quickly. "If you don't start the heart within eight minutes, the chances of survival are rare," said Ellen Mason, a cardiac nurse with the British Heart Foundation.

Earlystage Photos of Actionstars

SoI will admit this was originally going to be an “Expendables when they were young” gallery, but as it turns out, there are not pictures of Terry Crews or Dolph Lundgren when they were really young, so I just scrapped it and decided to extend the concept to ALL action stars.
As you can see above, some are easier to recognize than others. (how old WAS he in that picture? Good lord!)

These photos are worlds famous photoshopped photos in the world history. This nearly iconic portrait of U.S. President Abraham Lincoln is a composite of Lincoln head and the Southern politician John Calhoun body. Putting the date of this image into context, note that the first permanent photographic image was created in 1826 and the Eastman Dry Plate Company (later to become Eastman Kodak) was created in 1881.
